The humble brown shrimp is more valued than than its cousin the pink shrimp below. These are the raw material for two of our other products, peeled brown shrimps and potted brown shrimps. We get these fresh from time to time and if you are on our mailing list you will know when otherwise they are frozen.
The same as you get on the seaside in a poke costing the earth. These tasty little shrimps are full of flavour, some peel them, and some just remove the head. If you can't be bothered to do either then eat the whole thing heads 'n' all - fabulous! We get these fresh from time to time and if you're on our mailing lists will know when, otherwise they are frozen.
Our best selling item; these are peeled prawns at their best. Produced from fresh shell on prawns, most peeled prawns are produced from frozen raw material and the taste suffers. Here you can buy the biggest available on the market 90-125 count (pieces) per pound. It would be a shame to daub them in marie rose sauce but if you did it would be the finest prawn cocktail ever. They come in a 2.5kg bag (about 5.5lbs). There is also a smaller size available here, 125-175 & 150-250. Same excellent quality but that much cheaper.
These are tiger prawns in the basic form, head on, tail on and raw. Farmed in the Far East, shipped over in containers. We carry around 7 different sizes all listed above, most available ex. stock.
Found in every Chinese restaurant menu on the planet! The raw peeled and de-veined tiger prawn is the essential ingredient for most king prawn dishes you will find. Available here in all sizes from the reasonable to the expensive, we sell tons of them. There are tastier prawns but not many as spectacular.
We sell these fresh but if you want to take them frozen then choose these.
These come from Greenland and are the same species as our best selling peeled prawn but with the shells and head on. Peeling them yourselves is a bit of an art and it takes time but well worth it as the flavour is that little bit better. This is the 1 pound bag the next product is the 5 kilo catering box.
These come from Greenland and are the same species as our best selling peeled prawn but with the shells and head on. Peeling them yourselves is a bit of an art and it takes time but well worth it as the flavour is that little bit better. These are caught by freezer trawlers that cook at sea, and pack in this 5 kilo catering box, they pack by volume so there is usually much more then 5 kilos per box. Great value.
A variation on the tiger prawn. A peeled tiger prawn cooked with the tail left on, very handy as finger food for those picky people who cannot peel a prawn. Just defrost and eat. Most people throw away the tail but you can impress your friends and eat the whole thing. The tail adds a crunchy finish to the snack whilst adding fibre to your diet!
These are farmed in the far east and produced IQF, glazed and packed in 2 lbs poly bags. Headless but with the shell - available in 5 sizes. The image is the 6-8 size which is the number of pieces per pound.
These must be one of the most flavoursome products on our site. Peeled shrimps from Morecambe bay, hand peeled and potted in butter. Full of cholesterol and taste, fabulous on toast for breakfast. Choose from brown or pink, brown having the edge on flavour; why not buy some of each then you will know the difference. Buy 24 pots (full case) and get 15% off !
These tigers have been cooked and peeled so all the work has been done but the taste suffers as a result. Great in a curry or other dish where you need bigger prawns with no shells but cooked from raw is always better.
